ISPR reports that the Pakistan Army is removing stranded Murree visitors and giving food and shelter.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has released a statement to reassure the public that relief steps are being implemented as long lines of automobiles continue to line Murree’s roadways and civilians remain stranded in the terrible cold.

“All trapped persons will be relocated to five army relief camps constructed at Murree,” the military’s media wing said.

According to the statement, “Army aid centres have been created at Army School of Technicians Barian, Military College Murree, Jhika Gali, APS Kuldana, and Station Supply Depot Sunny Bank.”

Bulldozers and army engineers from the Frontier Works Organisation (FWO) are also “working in keeping the roads open without any halt to assist people,” according to the statement.

The Murree Expressway has been opened and cleared for any new snow by the National Highway Authority (NHA), FWO, and army engineers, according to the ISPR.
“All resources available to the Murree division in terms of engineers and machines have been mobilised,” according to the statement. “They will remain in the field until all persons have been evacuated.”
“Special plans have been made to evacuate civilians via military transport,” the ISPR continued, “and a Central Control Division has been created at Murree Division.”

According to the announcement, rescue centres have been established at APS and the Army School of Logistics Kuldana.

All relief camps have been equipped with heating systems, according to the statement, and troops are being sent where machinery cannot to clear the area.
