Ukrainians are on their way to Belarus for discussions slated for Thursday, according to a top assistant to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“As far as I’m aware, the Ukrainian delegation has already left Kyiv and is on its way… “We’re expecting them tomorrow,” Russian delegation chairman Vladimir Medinsky told reporters Wednesday evening.
According to Medinsky, the two parties decided to hold the discussions in Belarus’ Brest area, which borders Poland.
The Associated Press received confirmation from Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s office that the group is on its way, but no specifics on when they will arrive.
