LAHORE — The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) detained three suspected terrorists from various districts of Punjab on Tuesday.
According to a spokeswoman, the CTD conducted 49 combing and search operations, in which 50 areas in various districts of the province were searched, and 2713 suspects were questioned, 517 people were biometrically verified, and three suspects were detained. Weapons and explosive materials, including one handgun with a capacity of 30 rounds, were confiscated from the apprehended individuals.
He said that four FIRs had been filed against the apprehended individuals at Yeki Gate, Civil Line Mandi Bahauddin, Dunyapur, and Nowshera Khushab. The suspects have been sent to an undisclosed location while more investigations are conducted.
According to the spokesperson, the CTD is vigorously pursuing its aim of a safe and secure Punjab and would leave no stone unturned in its attempts to apprehend terrorists and anti-state individuals.
