PM Shehbaz attacks Imran Khan for his “politics of deception.”

ISLAMABAD – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said on Friday that PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s policies are built on falsehoods that are being revealed daily.

In a tweet, he said that Imran Khan’s antics and somersaults continue to dismay the people. He said, “the only constant is his desire to regain power at whatever cost, even throwing the nation into a lengthy period of instability.”

The comments came a day after the PTI leader blasted Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif, stating, “Nawaz intended to disqualify me from politics and put me to prison.”

“These individuals were solely interested about preserving money and feared that the PTI would gain power,” the ousted premier said. He stated that society suffers as a consequence of the torture of people with less authority.

Mr. Khan, citing the example of industrialised nations, said, “In developed nations, the rule of law reigns supreme.”
Mr. Khan complimented the judiciary in reaction to the LHC’s decision to conduct elections in Punjab within 90 days, stating that the PTI had great hopes for the court.

He was concerned that the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) would exert pressure on the judiciary. “The populace looked to the court to safeguard the constitution,” Khan added.

He remembered my appeal for immediate elections to extricate the nation from its morass.

Mr. Khan referred to previous army head General Qamar Javed Bajwa as “the supreme monarch,” stating that he “used to make every choice on his own.” “The previous army commander said that the United States is not pleased with me,” the PTI leader continued.

Mr. Khan, referring to the deal with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), said, “The agreement with the IMF would have bad effects for the country.”
