QUETTA: The Balochistan High Court (BHC) has declared unlawful, null and invalid the appointment of 32 coordinators and two spokespersons to Chief Minister Balochistan.
On a constitutional petition, a division bench of the BHC comprised of Chief Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Justice Amir Rana issued this decision on Wednesday.
The court ordered the provincial administration to retrieve all official items from the 32 coordinators and two spokespersons.
Sadiq Khilji Advocate, a senior lawyer, and others have challenged the appointment of coordinators and two spokespersons to the CM Balochistan at the BHC.
Farah Azeem Shah and Babar Yousafzai were designated as spokespersons by the Baloch administration.
The court had previously reserved the ruling, which was announced on Wednesday in the presence of the coordinators’ counsel.
The court orders that all coordinators immediately surrender all official possessions.
The court ordered that all official items be turned over to the Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD) by the fired coordinators and spokespersons.
The court ordered that all 32 coordinators and spokespersons return their official possessions to the government. Khilji said in his appeal that the province was experiencing a severe financial problem and could not afford such a big number of coordinators as well as two spokespersons at the same time.
Despite a severe financial situation, Chief Minister Balochistan hired 32 coordinators and two spokespersons in order to appease all of his government’s supported parties.
The Balochistan administration has been moaning about the greatest financial crisis in decades, and CM Bizenjo released a statement a few months ago stating that the provincial government was unable to pay the wages of government employees owing to a shortage of finances.
The province has consistently accused the federal government for failing to provide the cash, resulting in a major financial crisis in the province.
