Web desk – The first ship to depart as part of an effort to transfer food to nations most susceptible to hunger and drought, a ship carrying Ukrainian wheat bound for Ethiopia arrived in port on Saturday, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskiy.
The project to transport grain worth $150 million to Ethiopia, Sudan, South Sudan, Somalia, Congo, Kenya, and Yemen was started last Saturday by Ukraine and its allies.
“We provide meals. We provide hope, “In a tweet, Zelenskiy claimed that a ship carrying 25,000 tonnes of wheat for Ethiopia had arrived in the port of Doraleh in nearby Djibouti. The message was attached to a brief video of the ship.
By the beginning of next year, Zelenskiy predicted that a total of about 60 ships will have delivered goods.
