ECNEC has approved four road infrastructure projects of Rs130 billion for Punjab: Asad

At a meeting in Islamabad, the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) approved four road infrastructure projects worth 130 billion rupees for Punjab.

Asad Umar, Minister for Planning and Development, said in a tweet on Monday that the road projects include Kamalia-Shorkot-Chowk Azam-Layyah, Hasilpur-Bahawalnagar, Vehari-Pakpattan-Debalpur, and Shorkot-Jhang.

The meeting approved the K-4 project based on a new design at a cost of 126 billion rupees. He stated that 26 billion gallons of water will be delivered to Karachi by October of next year. He stated that the federal government has kept yet another promise made in Karachi’s Transformation Plan.

The ECNEC also approved a 96 billion rupee clean water and sanitation project for the rural areas of sixteen tehsils in South Punjab.
