The COAS meets with the ambassador of Turkmenistan and the High Commissioner of Canada.

On Tuesday, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa met with Turkmenistan’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Canadian High Commissioner to discuss topics of mutual concern.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the conversation centred on bilateral cooperation in a range of fields, with a special emphasis on regional connectivity projects and the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India pipeline (TAPI).

In view of the humanitarian disaster in Afghanistan, the visiting dignitary lauded Pakistan’s role and efforts for regional security. The minister also stated that the two sister countries’ connections will be improved.
