According to Asad Umar, the chairman of the National Command and Operation Centre, Pakistan provided a record 2.24 million Covid-19 vaccines in a single day on Thursday (NCOC).
“Another record was set today, with 2.24 million vaccinations provided in a single day,” the planning and development minister tweeted. “We have vaccinated more than 2 million people each day for the previous four days.”
“Every three out of four Pakistanis who are eligible for vaccination has received at least one dose.” All of the immunizations have been received by 58 percent of the population. “Congratulations, Pakistan.”
The NCOC previously said that Pakistan has reported 3,498 additional COVID-19 instances in the last 24 hours, increasing the total number of verified cases to 1,477,573.
It went on to say that 58,077 samples were tested, with 3,498 showing positive, and that the infection rate was 6.02 percent, down from 7.1 percent the day before.
