IT exports climbed by 32.65% in the first seven months of the current fiscal year.

Exports of information technology (IT) surged by 32.65% in the first seven months of the current fiscal year.

According to a Ministry of IT and Telecom official, “ICT export remittances, including telecommunication, computer, and information services, increased by 32.65% to US $1.487 billion during Financial Year (FY) 2021-22, up from US $1.121 billion during the same period in FY 2020-21,” from July 2021 to January 2022.

According to him, ICT export remittances were $185 million in January 2022, up 14.2 percent from $162 million in January 2021. The $66 million was, however, lower than the previous month’s export remittances in December 2021.
