The opposition has presented the National Assembly leadership with a draught of a no-confidence motion against the speaker and deputy speaker.

The opposition has provided the leadership with a draught no-confidence resolution against Speaker Asad Qaiser and Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri of the National Assembly.

According to estimates, more than 100 individuals have signed the document. In the draught, the Speaker and Deputy Speaker have been accused of bias and of conducting the House according to their party’s directives.

Instead of remaining neutral, the Speaker and Deputy Speaker join the proposal as parties. Asad Qaiser and Qasim Soori frequently attend sessions led by the prime minister, which is against the rules of the National Assembly.
