On Monday night, a joint opposition delegation called on Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leaders in Islamabad, amid rising political tensions in the country following the approval of a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The opposition delegation reportedly met with MQM-P leaders Amir Khan, Waseem Akhtar, and Amin-ul-Haq in the Parliament Lodges.
The opposition delegation was led by Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-M) chairman Sardar Akhtar Mengal, and included Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders Ahsan Iqbal, Ayaz Sadiq, Rana Sanaullah, and Khawaja Saad Rafiq, as well as Pakistan People’s Party stalwarts Khursheed Shah and Suhail Anwar Sial.
