While refusing to serve in Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s federal government, Awami National Party (ANP) chairman Asfandyar Wali Khan remarked on Sunday that their priority is the people, not being in the cabinet.
In a statement published on Monday, he suggested that other friends should be given cabinet positions because the government is currently in hot water and they do not want to further their problems.
The ANP chairman remarked that while he was grateful to the PPP and PML-N for inviting them to join the federal government, given their issues, he requested that the other allies be given a cabinet position.
