As Imran Khan declares his intention to attend a rally in Lahore, the Prime Minister demands tight security.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif ordered flawless security for former Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday after he declared his intention to attend a rally in Lahore.

PM Shehbaz has urged the Interior Ministry to take urgent action in response to the PTI Chairman’s claim of a security danger and has requested Rana Sanaullah to personally supervise the arrangements.

The Interior Ministry has sent a letter to the Home Secretaries of all four provinces, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan, ordering rigorous security measures for the former prime minister.

It is worth noting that the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Lahore informed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership on Wednesday in a letter about security risks for the Minar-e-Pakistan demonstration, recommending that Imran Khan address the crowd via video connection.

Meanwhile, the PTI has rejected the local government’s security concerns and has made all necessary preparations for the Lahore gathering.
