The oath of office was given to CM-elect Hamza Shahbaz by Speaker of the National Assembly Raja Pervaiz Ashraf on the directives of the Lahore High Court.
Senior leaders of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), including Maryam Nawaz, and other party officials were present at the event, which was hosted at Lahore’s Governor House.
Hamza Shahbaz will be escorted to the CM House after taking the oath of office, where he will be greeted by a guard of honour.
On Friday, the LHC instructed the National Assembly Speaker to administer the oath of office to Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shahbaz Sharif on Saturday.
