Russia has urged the United States and NATO to halt the supply of arms to Ukraine, according to state media

According to Chinese state media, Russia’s foreign minister has urged the US and NATO to stop supplying arms to Kiev if they are “genuinely interested in resolving the Ukraine crisis.”

Months after failing in its short-term goal of capturing Kyiv, Moscow is now stepping up operations in Ukraine’s eastern Donbas region.

However, Sergei Lavrov told China’s official Xinhua news agency that the “special military operation… is going exactly as planned.”

China has avoided condemning Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and has defended its close relationship with Moscow, with state media frequently echoing Russia’s stance on the conflict.
