The National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), guided by a vision aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), has unlocked yet another milestone achievement by ranking among the top 200 international institutions in the Times Higher Education (THE) Impact Rankings 2022.
According to facts, the university not only maintained its overall number one ranking among Pakistani universities, but also led the country in eight SDGs. Clean Water and Sanitation (SDG-6), Affordable and Clean Energy (SDG-7), Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure (SDG-9), Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG-11), Responsible Consumption and Production (12), Life Below Water (SDG-14), Life on Land (SDG-15), and Partnership for the Goals are among them (SDG-17). It is worth noting that, in SDG-7, NUST has risen 63 places to be ranked fourth in the world.
The next year, NUST made a huge leap forward by appearing in all 17 SDGs in THE Impact Rankings 2020, ranking among the world’s top 100, top 200, and top 300 universities in several SDG categories, and rising up the overall ranking ladder from 300+ to 200+ in 2020.
The university’s steadfast dedication to quality standards is one of the major impetuses that have contributed to this honour.
