The cost of power has increased by 57 paisa per unit, according to NEPRA

On Tuesday, the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) increased the cost of power by 57 paisas.

The price of electricity has been increased to 57 paisa per unit as a consequence of a quarterly adjustment, according to the facts. The add-on will not be available to K-electric or lifeline subscribers.

According to NEPRA, consumers would suffer an additional cost of Rs 14 billion as a result of the price rise.

Customers will be expected to make extra payments in three months, with charges beginning on June 1.
