Usman Dar of the PTI was previously arrested in Sialkot during a demonstration

SIALKOT — Police in the city detained Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Usman Dar and many party workers as they prepared for a public meeting.

According to reports, a brawl broke out between PTI workers and police at the venue of PTI head Imran Khan’s public rally.

The PTI public gathering was invaded by police, who claimed that the district administration had denied the party permission to hold a demonstration at CTI Ground in Sialkot.

Police used tear gas shelling and baton charges to disperse PTI workers who were resisting.
