MULTAN – In a shooting incident close to Khanewal, a director and inspector of the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) lost their lives.
According to officials, the CTD director and two police officers stopped at the Bismillah Hotel for a dinner while participating in an intelligence-based operation in Khanewal.
Director Naveed Sial and an inspector named Nasir Abbas died instantly as a consequence of shots fired at them by an unidentified assailant.
One CTD inspector was unhurt during this event, and the suspect escaped as the police surrounded the place.
