UMERKOT – A boat collapsed at Kalankar Lake in Umerkot in Sindh province on Sunday, killing at least six members of the same family, according to A News.
According to reports, the boat was transporting ten members of a family to the shrine of Noori Wali to pay their respects when it crashed, killing six people.
Police and rescue personnel arrived at the scene and recovered three corpses from the lake. According to sources, the rescue attempt in the region was halted due to darkness, but three remains were eventually retrieved from the sea.
Zulaikhan Sameju, Sumaira Sameju, and Momera Sameju were identified as the deceased.
