CHAMAN/QUETTA: On Thursday, Khan Muhammad Marri, the father of two of the victims in the horrifying killings in Barkhan, said that Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran, the Balochistan Minister for Building and Communications, wanted him to provide false evidence against his son.
Khan Muhammad, the father whose family members were discovered dead in a well in Barkhan area, and who had accused Khetran of holding his children in a “private prison,” joined the sit-in being held in Quetta.
Khan Muhammad said that Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran had killed his sons.
He claimed to be a Khetran servant who had escaped from one of the minister’s “three secret prisons,” where other women, the elderly, and children had been detained.
He said that he had been told that the other members of his family had been rescued by the levies force and that the remains discovered from Barkhan well belonged to his sons.
He expressed sorrow for the savage killing of the girl who was discovered dead beside his boys and claimed that “she is someone’s sister or daughter,” despite the fact that she could not be identified.
The Balochistan minister Abdul Rehman Khetran was “behind this occurrence,” he said, and his children were being imprisoned in the “private jail.” He repeated his accusations.
The Levies Force “recovered” Khan Muhammad’s wife, Giran Naz, and their five children, including a girl who was supposedly kidnapped by Khetran. Giran Naz had been assumed dead.
The operation was carried out in response to claims made by Khan Muhammad that spurred demonstrations calling for the return of missing individuals across Balochistan after the discovery of three corpses shot through from a well in the Barkhan area.
Police detained the provincial minister on Wednesday despite his denials of any involvement in the terrible killings.
Nevertheless, the Levies authorities said that Marri’s wife, Giran Naz, who was believed to be dead, as well as her children Farzana, Abdul Majeed, Abdul Ghaffar, Imran, and Abdul Sattar were found during the search efforts.
The force intervened at Kohlu, Dakki, Barkhan, and Dera Bugti while the family of Khan Muhammad Marri was being held prisoner in several places.
To free the captives, the Levies Quick Reaction Team reportedly carried out operations in South Punjab and East Balochistan. Also, the force thwarted a plan to send the two abducted youngsters to Punjab.
The Levies officers provided specific locations, stating that Naz, Farzana, and Imran were found at Kohlu, Chamalang, and Dakki, respectively, in the border region of Bala Dhaka. In the meanwhile, Majeed was found in Dakki, and Ghaffar and Sattar were found in Kohlu and Dera Bugti, respectively.
The police noted that no arrests were made during the raids.
A law enforcement organisation has been keeping watch over Naz and her kids.
