LAHORE, (APP): President Dr. Arif Alvi and First Lady Begum Samina Alvi paid a visit to the late Amjad Islam Islam’s home on Saturday to offer their condolences to the family.
According to a news statement from the President Secretariat Press Wing, they offered fateha for the deceased soul and prayed for the grieving family to have the courage to endure the loss.
The late Amjad was a famous Urdu poet and novelist, and the country was proud of such individuals, the president said, adding that his passing was a loss to the country.
