The IHC grants Imran Khan two weeks’ bail in the Al-Qadir Trust case.

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) granted protective bail to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan in the Al-Qadir Trust case on Friday, hours after he threatened to trigger widespread unrest if he was imprisoned again.

The former prime minister, who was arrested on Tuesday from the IHC premises, was granted a 15-day protection bail by a two-member special division bench comprised of Justices Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb and Saman Rafat Imtiaz.

A day after the Supreme Court ruled that Khan’s incarceration in the Al-Qadir Trust case was “illegal,” IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq convened a special division bench to hear the former Prime Minister’s bail application.
