Authorities in India have filed a corruption case against Sameer Wankhede, a former Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) director, and two other employees for allegedly requesting money in exchange for not charging Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan.
The CBI initiated an inquiry when officials detained Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan, in a cocaine raid aboard a cruise ship in 2021.
According to Indian media sources, Wankhede demanded a payment of INR 250 million in order not to prosecute Aryan. On Friday, the CBI raided the officer’s home for about 13 hours, seizing many papers and a printer.
