Malik Khurram, an ex-MPA, rejects PTI amid the growing exodus.

ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Following the chaos of May 9, another PTI leader made the decision to leave the Imran Khan-led party on Sunday. Malik Khurram Ali Khan said that Pakistan and the national institutions were the most important things to him.

Malik, a former member of the Punjab Assembly, said he had reached a decision to leave the PTI after talking to all of his friends.

The former MP said he had never advocated against the institutions while pointing out that those who had counselled Imran had already defected from the party. Making Pakistan strong, according to him, is the primary political priority, and he said that individuals could not compromise institutions’ reputations for their own political ends.

Malik is the most recent example of PTI officials and lawmakers quitting the party or maybe politics entirely in the wake of the deadly demonstrations earlier this month.
