Justice (retd) Baqar will take the oath of office as interim chief minister of Sindh today.

KARACHI — The oath-taking ceremony for caretaker Chief Minister Sindh Justice (retd) Maqbool Baqir will take place today (Thursday), according to Dunya News.

The swearing-in event, which was initially set for August 16 (Wednesday), was postponed by one day due to Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori’s hectic itinerary while in Islamabad.

According to reports, the oath-taking ceremony for caretaker CM Maqbool Baqar will take place at 6:00pm at Governor House Karachi, and will be attended by prominent political personalities from the province.
Maqbool Baqar, the interim Chief Minister of Sindh, stated his openness to address public concerns on Tuesday as he prepared to take his oath on Thursday.

Maqbool Baqar stated that he has been informed on his duties and that his first objective is to put together the provincial government. He stressed that the interim government’s responsibility is to assist the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) in conducting elections.
