Former foreign minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) deputy chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi was apprehended at his Islamabad residence.
According to reports, PTI vice chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi has been detained and taken to the headquarters of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in connection with the Cypher case.
Earlier today, the PTI leader dismissed accusations of core committee differences, stating that a media outlet is circulating rumors about the committee.
He added that the PTI chairman does not have a replacement in the party, but that he would be out from prison soon.
Previously, PTI leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi and former federal minister Asad Umar were called in a cypher case by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Counter Terrorism.
