China strongly denounced the terrorist assault on the Jaffar Express in Balochistan on Wednesday and promised to continue its unwavering support for Pakistan in battling terrorism, upholding solidarity, social stability, and ensuring civilian safety.

“We have noted the reports and strongly condemn this terrorist attack,” Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mao Ning said at her daily briefing in response to a query on a terrorist attack on a train carrying over 450 passengers in Balochistan province.

She stated that China strongly condemns all forms of terrorism and added, “We will continue to firmly support Pakistan in combating terrorism, maintaining solidarity and social stability, and protecting civilian safety.”

She stated that China is willing to expand counterterrorism and security cooperation with Pakistan in order to preserve the area peaceful, safe, and stable.
According to reports, the US has also denounced the terrorist attack on the train and the hostage-taking of passengers claimed by the Baloch Liberation Army.

“We send our heartfelt thoughts and condolences to the victims, their families, and all those touched by this heinous crime,” the US Embassy in Islamabad stated in a statement on X.”

Pakistanis deserve to be free of violence and terror.

The US will continue to support Pakistan’s efforts to protect the safety and security of all of its citizens.

“We stand in solidarity with Pakistan during this difficult time,” the statement said.

Stephane Dujarric, the UN Secretary-General’s Spokesperson, stated during his daily press conference in New York that the UN is closely monitoring the changing situation.

“We have just seen the reports; we, of course, condemn any hostage-taking, and we call on those who have taken people hostage to release them immediately,” Stephane Dujarric said in answer to a question at the daily midday briefing in New York.

“But,” he added, “We’re going to keep following the situation as it evolves.”

In a message on the social networking site X, European Union Ambassador Riina Kionka said, “We strongly condemn the terrorist attack in Balochistan.”

She expressed her condolences to the Pakistani people and the bereaved families, expressing serious worry for the hostages and urging for their prompt release, as the situation remained unknown.

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Ismail Baghaei has harshly denounced the hostage-taking incident involving a passenger train in Balochistan, expressing grave worry over the safety of innocent civilians.

In an official statement, Baghaei reiterated Iran’s fundamental opposition to all kinds of terrorism and violent extremism.

He expressed his support for Pakistan’s leadership and people at this trying period.

Furthermore, he emphasized Iran’s willingness to give any support required to put a stop to the terrorist act and protect the safety of those involved.

Meanwhile, the Iranian embassy in Islamabad has strongly denounced the terrorist attack on a passenger train in Balochistan, in which innocent civilians such as women, children, and the elderly were held hostage.

The embassy condemned the assault as a ‘cowardly act against humanity,’ underlining that targeting civilians and damaging critical transportation infrastructure is a serious violation of human rights and international standards.
