LAHORE – On Wednesday, the Pakistan Cricket Board announced 90 women’s domestic contracts for the 2024-25 season, including 18 Pakistan U19 players, 62 developing category players, and 10 Pakistan-capped players.
The 18 Pakistan women’s U19 players will also benefit from the monthly retainers as they attempt to build on their experiences at the ACC Women’s U19 Asia Cup 2024-25 and the ICC Women’s U19 World Cup 2025.
The names of the 90 players were suggested by the Women’s National Selection Committee, which includes former Test cricketer Asad Shafiq and former Pakistan Women’s international Batool Fatima.
Contracts have been provided to players from throughout the country based on their talent and performance in domestic competitions. The contracts are planned to last from July 2024 until June 2025.
The PCB’s introduction of 12-month contracts aims to enhance the talent pool in the women’s game at the grassroots level while also inspiring future players to pursue professional careers in the sport.
It is the second straight iteration of women’s domestic contracts, following the first-ever such contracts, which were awarded to 79 players in 2023-24. In addition to domestic contracts, developing and U19 players will get match fees, daily allowances, and a portion of prize money.
The list of 90 players along with their cities in alphabetical order are:
