LAHORE— The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) partially dismantled 27 unlawful commercial structures in Lahore Wednesday.
The LDA’s Town Planning Wing destroyed the fronts of 27 unauthorized commercial structures on Johar Town’s Khayaban-e-Firdousi.
The partially demolished buildings house Shahbaz Tikka, Pak Hospital, food outlets, stores, and other enterprises.
LDA Chief Town Planner II Azhar Ali oversaw the actions carried out by the enforcement teams with the assistance of the police and heavy machinery.
According to the LDA spokeswoman, many notifications were sent to the owners of these structures before to the operations.
LDA Director General Tahir Farooq has instructed that indiscriminate operations against construction and parking bylaw violations, encroachments, and unlawful commercial usage continue in Lahore.
