ISLAMABAD – Senator Azam Swati was not freed on Monday, despite the fact that the Islamabad High Court (IHC) had granted him bail.
The precise order of IHC had not yet been issued, and as a result, the bonds for bail had not yet been received by the court; both of these actions would take place tomorrow.
The senator from Pakistan-e-Tehreek Insaf was imprisoned because of his divisive statements against governmental institutions.
Mr Swati’s detention was condemned by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman and other PTI officials.
