Asad Umar, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), threatened the Pakistani government on Saturday that if former Prime Minister Imran Khan is arrested, the government will be held accountable.
Umar told the reporters that if power is utilised, the same reaction will be given. “If Maryam Nawaz can be granted protection, why can’t Imran Khan?” he said.
PTI leader Farrukh Habib, on the other side, said that a “crime minister” had been appointed as a special prosecutor. “The accused has chosen his own lawyer in the investigation institution. Shehbaz Sharif is employed at NRO 2 “he said.
