The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) progressively restored internet connection across Pakistan on Friday. The inhabitants breathed a sigh of relief as the Internet was restored.

The PTA reported that internet connectivity was progressively being restored, and that social media programmes had also been reinstated.

PTA blocked internet services on the Interior Ministry’s orders, amid demonstrations sparked by Imran Khan’s detention in the Al-Qadir Trust corruption case.

Social media platforms such as YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook have also been reactivated.
