PESHAWAR : (Web Desk) — On Tuesday, police apprehended the security guard who had escaped after shooting dead a professor at Peshawar’s Islamia College.

According to police, the primary suspect, Sher Muhammad, was apprehended in Karak. Peshawar police had travelled all the way to Karak, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, to apprehend the fugitive suspect.

Bashir Khan, an English instructor at Islamia College, was shot and killed by the guard on Sunday. According to authorities, Bashir exchanged angry words with the college security, who then opened fire on the former in wrath, killing him. After then, the guard managed to depart.

According to an Islamia College official, the killed instructor had a fight with the security officer who shot him dead. He said that the victim was a Mardan inhabitant.
