On Thursday, the government imposed a ban on the purchase of non-essential and luxury goods in an effort to slow the rupee’s devaluation, boost the economy, and reduce the country’s reliance on imports.
During a news conference in Islamabad on Thursday, she declared that the country’s economy has been harmed for the past four years, and the currency has plummeted to an all-time low of Rs189, due to the four years of imported government, advisers, and spokespersons.
According to her, luxury imported items include automobiles, mobile phones, home appliances, dry and fresh fruits, crockery, private guns, decoration items, preserved and frozen food items, sanitary where, doors and windows, beauty and confectionary goods, and sanitary where.
