COLOMBO ( Today News) – In Sunday’s pivotal ICC T20 World Cup match at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka, Pakistan lost four wickets early in their chase of a 176-run total set by India.
Jasprit Bumrah took two of the first wickets, dismissing skipper Salman Agha and openers Sahibzada Farhan and Saim Ayub cheaply. Babar Azam left after scoring five runs as well.
For Pakistan to win the pivotal match of the ICC T20 World Cup, India set a goal of 176 runs.
Salman Ali Agha, the captain of Pakistan, had earlier made a breakthrough by hitting Abhishek Sharma for a duck in the first over. But in order to stabilize the innings and turn the tide back in India’s favor, Kishan launched a barrage of boundaries in a comeback.
Before succumbing to Ayub’s spin, the wicketkeeper-batter spearheaded India’s comeback with a fluid 77 off 40 deliveries, hitting 10 fours and three sixes.
