PM Shehbaz gives the green light to speaker Ayaz Sadiq for PTI discussions.

ISLAMABAD (Today News) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved discussions between the government and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

According to reports, the prime minister has allowed Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq to conduct the discussions, and the government delegation is prepared to engage at the Speaker’s request.

Government sources highlighted that conversations will only involve elected PTI MPs, with no discussions with non-elected members.
Meanwhile, sources in the Speaker’s office said that no PTI leader has formally approached them for negotiations yet. Speaker Ayaz Sadiq has preserved the parliamentary committee, and if the opposition shows interest, he would call a meeting promptly.

According to parliamentary sources, the opposition has yet to respond to the Speaker’s invitation. The Speaker has called PTI leaders to his chamber for discussion.

It is worth remembering that the PTI’s last meeting with the Speaker was to nominate Mahmood Achakzai as the opposition leader.

Meanwhile, Rana Sanaullah Khan, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs and Senator, has stated that the administration is completely prepared to engage in political conversation with the opposition and advance democracy.

Senator Rana Sanaullah stated on a private TV broadcast that the DG ISPR has repeatedly reiterated that the military does not have the authority to have negotiations with political parties.

Negotiations take happen between political parties themselves, as is their mission.

He stated that the administration is fully prepared for political conversation with the opposition and to develop democracy. It is now up to the PTI to decide whether to participate in discussion. He said that the founder of the PTI has stated that he does not want to engage in discussions but rather begin a street movement.

According to Rana Sanaullah, the PTI founder wants a replay of May 9, as well as turmoil and disorder, and has a definite objective. He said that Sohail Afridi, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, is acting on the founder’s orders. He went on to say that the PTI’s planned wheel-jam strike would fail miserably and that the public would completely reject it.
