LAHORE, Pakistan (A News) – Wasim Akram, a legendary Pakistan cricketer, expressed his displeasure with the aerial firing on New Year’s Eve on Saturday. Aerial gunfire has the potential to damage people, and Akram has spoken out about it on Twitter.
The Sultan of Swing urged locals to teach their children not to brag, as gunfire began as soon as the New Year arrived. He also advised citizens to buy smaller firecrackers to celebrate the New Year.
” I want to make a very important request — can we please teach our kids to stop showing off. Why am I saying showing off? As soon as it was midnight, the gun firing began. Dhaa, dhuzz, dhuzz dhaa, adey tussi Rambo therdey nahi [You are not Rambo]. Go buy some fireworks or patakhas [firecrackers] like I did last night for my daughter. Chotay anaar, chotay phuljari [small types of firecrackers], please buy these sort of things,” said Akram on Twitter.
The bullet that is fired into the air will come down, and it may even be fatal, according to Akram. Akram closed by saying that people should evolve and that he hopes his message reaches the right people in the appropriate way.
