KARACHI: Due to a technical fault, a flight from New Delhi to Doha was forced to make an emergency landing at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi on Monday.
According to airport sources, an international airline’s aircraft, QR-579, was its route from Delhi to Doha with 12 crew members and 283 passengers on board when the passenger jet developed a technical issue.
The plane’s pilots detected a smoke signal in the cargo area, prompting them to make an emergency landing at Karachi International Airport.
According to accounts, the plane successfully landed at the airport, and the passengers were directed to the transit lounge.
