ISLAMABAD – “If you are not pleased with me, I will hand over the government to someone else,” Prime Minister Imran Khan said during a parliamentary party meeting in response to Defense Minister Pervaiz Khattak’s criticism.
He made the remarks during a parliamentary party meeting in Islamabad ahead of the National Assembly session to pass the Finance Supplementary Bill 2021.
During the meeting, Defense Minister Pervaiz Khattak chastised Prime Minister Imran Khan for the country’s worst-ever gas crisis.
On the question of gas, Prime Minister Imran Khan and Defense Minister Pervez Khattak exchanged angry words during the parliamentary party meeting.
The defence minister exited the meeting after a heated dispute. He also chastised Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan.
“We have made you Prime Minister,” Khattak said. He stated that there is a gas prohibition in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and that despite generating gas and power, we are persecuted. “If this is your mentality, we will be unable to vote,” he said.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan has stated that “if you are not content with me, I would give over the administration to someone else.”
“I want to make it clear that there will be no compromise on the national interest, and the protection of state institutions is the first and foremost priority,” the premier declared on this occasion.
In response to the defence minister’s criticism, Imran Khan stated, “Do not blackmail me, and do not vote for me if you do not want,” adding, “I am fighting the battle of the country and have no interest in governance.”
“My battle is a national interest war,” he stressed.
