GUJRANWALA – Three individuals, including a newlywed couple, were killed in Dahlay police district here on Thursday over a love marriage, according to authorities.

According to authorities, accused Ashraf, the girl’s father, summoned his daughter, son-in-law, and mother to his home for reconciliation.

When they arrived at his residence, he and his other relatives opened fire, killing them on the spot, before fleeing.

Abbas, Liba, and Shama were identified as the victims.

The pair had agreed to a love marriage a few days before, but the girl’s father was not pleased.
The accused and his other accomplices devised a plot to murder them on the day of the occurrence.
