Extremists in India have accused Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan of spitting on the body of India’s Nightingale, Lata Mangeshkar, on the day of her funeral.
The Indian singer died on February 6th. She was admitted to a metropolitan hospital in early January of this year after testing positive for Covid-19 and being diagnosed with pneumonia.
Several dignitaries, including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, attended her funeral.
Shah Rukh Khan also paid tribute to the late singer by raising his hands and saying a dua, but when he dropped his facemask to blow air over her, some radicals misread his move and said he spit on her body.
