The veteran will be in attendance as India’s top representative. He will participate in the Mushaira. During the occasion, Javed will also be introducing his new book.
The festival will be a three-day event from February 17 to 19, with international delegations from Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, and India representing their music, art, and literary activities.
The Alhamra Arts Council in Lahore has been established for the occasion. The festival includes about 60 activities including as theatre, dance performances, literary talks, Qawwali, and many more. In contrast to previous years, all of the activities during the Faiz Festival will be free of charge.
The Arts Council’s surrounding grounds have been particularly prepared for the three-day event.
According to sources, the literary festival will also include performances by a number of local and foreign performers. Qawwals from the Sabri Gharana, for example, have been asked to perform. Meanwhile, Rizwan Wali Mohammad, Habib Wali Muhammad’s son, will also play during the event.
