MIANAWALI – On Thursday night, a terrorist from a banned organisation was killed in an exchange of fire with Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) officers in the Kalabagh region of District Mianwali, according to A-News.

Terrorists opened fire on a team of CTD Mianwali in Kalabagh, according to a CTD Spokesman. CTD soldiers replied by returning fire. CTD and terrorists exchanged fire for 20 minutes, during which one terrorist was killed and two of his companions managed to flee.

According to the spokesman, the deceased terrorist was identified as Habib-ur-Rehman, a prominent leader of the proscribed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). The CTD officers also found a kalashnikov, a suicide vest, and illegal TTP emblems from the deceased terrorist.

The spokesman further said that a complaint has been recorded at the CTD police station in Sargodha, and a hunt for the other terrorists has begun.
